Passfastacademy — Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking a driving course with Passfastacademy. By making a booking or payment, you are agreeing to the terms outlined below. These govern your relationship with us and our affiliated instructors.
1. Introduction and Definitions
1.1 “Passfastacademy”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to the trading name under which we provide intensive and semi-intensive driving courses across the UK.
1.2 “You” or “your” refers to the person booking the course, and/or the learner driver receiving driving instruction.
1.3 “Instructor” refers to a DVSA-approved driving instructor allocated by us to deliver the driving lessons included in your course.
1.4 “Course” means the driving tuition package selected and paid for by you, which may include lessons and a practical test.
1.5 “DVSA” refers to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.
1.6 “Agreement” means the contract between you and Passfastacademy, formed at the point of booking and payment.
2. Booking and Course Requirements
2.1 By booking a course, you confirm that you hold or are eligible to hold a valid UK provisional driving licence.
2.2 After booking, you must complete a student information form in full. We will use this to match you with a suitable instructor and schedule your test(s).
2.3 You may be asked to provide preferred dates, times, and any availability restrictions. While we will try to accommodate preferences, we cannot guarantee all requests.
2.4 Booking a course with Passfastacademy confirms your agreement for us to act on your behalf to schedule lessons and book DVSA tests as applicable.
3. Instructors and Lessons
3.1 Our instructors are self-employed, DVSA-approved, and insured. Passfastacademy acts as an intermediary to allocate you a suitable instructor.
3.2 Your agreement for lessons is with your instructor. Passfastacademy is not liable for the instructor’s conduct, punctuality, or vehicle issues, though we will investigate serious complaints and reallocate instructors when appropriate.
3.3 You must communicate directly with your instructor to confirm lesson times and locations.
3.4 Instructors reserve the right to cancel lessons for safety concerns, lack of documentation, or if the student appears unfit to drive (e.g. under the influence).
3.5 Any missed or late-arrival lessons without at least 48 hours’ notice may be forfeited.
4. Payments and Refunds
4.1 Payment for courses is due after a practical test has been booked and confirmed to the student, unless agreed otherwise.
4.2 Payments are handled securely via Stripe or other integrated partners. Where instalments are used (e.g. Klarna, PayPal Pay-in-3), the agreement is between you and the payment provider.
4.3 Once payment is made and an instructor is assigned, refunds may be subject to administrative fees and any non-refundable costs (e.g. instructor payments or DVSA test fees).
4.4 A full refund will be issued if we are unable to secure a practical test date for you within a reasonable time frame (typically 60 days).
4.5 You must complete payment within 48 hours of us booking your test to secure your place.
If the test we secure is close to the DVSA cancellation deadline (typically 10 working days), we may require payment sooner than 48 hours to avoid losing the slot — you’ll be informed clearly in this case.
4.6 If a test is booked with less than 10 working days’ notice at your request, and you later cancel or choose not to proceed, you will be responsible for the DVSA test fee, as it cannot be refunded or rebooked.
5. Test Bookings
5.1 We will schedule your DVSA practical test before requesting payment, unless agreed otherwise.
5.2 Test slots are offered based on DVSA availability and your submitted preferences (location, timeframe, etc.).
5.3 Test fees are included in the course price unless stated otherwise.
5.4 If you request to reschedule or change your test, this can only be done if there are more than 10 working days remaining before the test date. Changes within 10 working days are not permitted by the DVSA and will result in the test fee being lost.
5.5 You will receive written confirmation of your test details before being asked to pay.
6. Changes and Cancellations
6.1 You may request to change your course type, instructor, or lesson schedule. Any changes are subject to instructor availability and may incur a fee.
6.2 If you relocate or change your availability, we will do our best to accommodate you, but delays or additional costs may apply.
6.3 Refunds will not be given for missed lessons or failed tests unless due to fault on our part.
7. Conduct and Responsibilities
7.1 You must bring a valid UK provisional licence to all lessons and tests.
7.2 You must behave respectfully toward your instructor and Passfastacademy staff. Abuse or threatening behaviour will result in termination of your course with no refund.
7.3 You must be punctual, appropriately dressed, and not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
8. Liability
8.1 PassFast Academy is not responsible for the actions of third parties, including instructors, DVSA test centres, or payment processors.
8.2 We are not liable for any test failures, cancellations due to weather or illness, or other delays beyond our control.
8.3 Our total liability to you shall not exceed the value of your course fee.
9. Data and Communication
9.1 Your personal data will be used to arrange your course and test bookings, in line with our Privacy Policy.
9.2 We may contact you via email or phone for booking updates, lesson arrangements, or marketing (if you opt in).
9.3 Your data may be shared securely with instructors or test centres as needed to fulfil your course.
10. Complaints
10.1 If you are unhappy with your instructor, lessons, or any aspect of our service, please contact us via email at passfastacademy@gmail.com.
10.2 We aim to resolve all complaints fairly within 10 working days.
11. Legal and Miscellaneous
11.1 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes may be settled in courts located in your area of residence within the UK.
11.2 Passfastacademy reserves the right to update these terms at any time. You will be notified of any major changes.
11.3 Course terms, availability, and fees may vary and are subject to change without prior notice.
